Oktober 2012.
The chestnuts festivities begin by the middle of October in Lovran (October 12th - October 28th) and in the weekends that follow they are held in the villages overlooking Lovran (12-14.10.), Liganj (20-21.10.) and Dobreć (27-28.10.). Baked chestnuts are offered, mead (home-made brandy based on honey) and new wine. In cafes and pastry shops cakes, pastry and sweets are prepared, while in taverns and restaurants original home-made dishes and chestnut dishes can be tasted. The main celebration in Lovran in the square (Brajdice) consists of all-day folklore programs, wind orchestra and popular music performances.

Kirschen-Fest – Großer Kirschstrudel am 9. Juni 2012
Während des Tages können Sie frisch gepflückte Kirschen aus Lovran kaufen, verschiedene Kirschkuchen und Gebäck genießen oder orignal Souveniers aus Lovran kaufen. Abends endet das Fest mit dem Anschnitt des großen Lovraner Kirschstrudels (20m lang) und dem Auftritt verschiedner Folkloregruppen.
Am Tage bieten Cafés und Restaurants Kirschkuchen oder Gerichte, die mit Kirschen gemacht sind.

Am Samstag beginnt das 12. Spargel-Festival und am Sonntag, 15.04.2012 das Spargelfest, mit Akkordeonspielern, Unterhaltungs- und Musikprogramm. In den Abendstunden werden sogenannte 'Fritaja’s' aus 1000 Eiern und 30 kg Spargel in einer 2 m breiten Pfanne gemacht.

Art, Wine and Gastro Evening in restaurant Stanger, Lovran will be held on Friday at 20:00 with a the foreword by Dr. Željko Prgomet. Participants Etko Tutta and Klemen Brun from Slovenia and Bruno Paladin and Goran Stimac. Offer a taste of fruit Diospyros kaki with wine ŠČUREK (Slo) and Pequentum, Dimitri Brečević.
Gastro - fingerfood with fresh and dried persimmon. Cheff - Srdjana Jevtic and Robert Benzia.

The tour of the sculptor Goran Stimac around Lovran continues, carrying with it the tastes of great food and wine. Month of the chestnuts and the devotees of art, with art tour will be able to enjoy the wines Dobravec (free tasting), and young chestnuts - after brief introductory words.

During the day, one will be able to purchase freshly picked Lovran cherries, taste cherry cakes and treats, or buy original Lovran souvenirs. While in the evening, the Festival ends with the slicing of a giant Lovran strudel (a 10 m long strudel) and performance by folklore ensemble.

11th Cherry Days in Lovran will be held from 11th to 19th of June 2011. The main festivities are organized on Saturday, 11th of June 2011 starting at 18:00. The cutting of a large 10 meter strudel will be at 20:30. Participants: Quartet "Istria" (polka and waltz), and the folklore ensemble KUD "Zvir" from Jelenje who will perform at 21:00. The cherry cakes and freshly picked cherries will be offered as well as souvenirs and other local products. During the Days of Cherries, Lovran restaurants will offer cakes and desserts of Lovran cherries.
