Während des Feuerwerk-Festivals erleuchtet der Himmel über Opatija mit fantastischen, künstlerisch gestalteten prächtigen Himmelslichtern hell. Die von einem Ponton auf dem Meer gezündeten Feuerwerke erfüllen den Himmel mit wunderschönen Farben. In den Pausen zwischen den einzelnen Feuerwerken gibt es Livemusik mit erstklassigen Bands und ein vielfältiges gastronomisches Angebot.

Kool & The Gang are an American jazz, soul, R'n'B, funk and disco band. They have sold over 70 million albums worldwide and influenced the music of three generations. Thanks to the numerous hits like Celebration, Cherish, Jungle Boogie, Joanna, Get Down On It, Ladies Night, Open Sesame, they have earned many world music awards, including two Grammy Awards. Kool & The Gang has been performing for the past 35 years, longer than any R’n’B group in history. That should be a good enough reason for you to come to the disco beach in Opatija!

National cultural and tourist campaign "Friends of the Sea" was initiated in 2009 by the Livingstone association and the company Astoria from Rijeka. The aim is to present the photography exhibition on large formats, open air, in 15 Croatian cities (every year from May to September), to Croatian public and to all the visitors, in order to draw attention to the role of photography in media culture and its social responsibility, and permanent value in promoting ecology and preservation of the Adriatic Sea. After the trilogy with themes of underwater, surface of the sea and essays on the Mediterranean, the fourth edition of this fascination exhibition presents valuable materials from the archives of museums, galleries, photo clubs and private collections.

Every year, “Kvarner Expo” will attract numerous exhibitioners from all over Croatia, so tourists staying in Opatija during that time may see and find out everything they want to know about original Croatian souvenirs in one place. Judging by the experience until now, the exhibition should satisfy everyone’s tastes and wishes. The organizers of the exhibition are the Chamber of Trade of Primorsko-Goranska County, Opatija Trade Association and Alpe Adria Expo from Opatija, with the participation of the representatives of all Croatian counties.

From 26 to 28 September 2013 will be held 40th Edition "CROATIA RALLY 2013", which will be organized by Croatian Car and Karting Federation in Istria, with start and finish in Porec, while two special stages 27th September 2013 at the legendary track over Učka. In Opatija, on the beach Slatina will be organized large auto moto show. The entire project includes a new promoter of European Championships - Eurosport. The event is held under the auspices of the Croatian President, Dr Josipovic and supported by the Ministry of Science, Education and Sports, and the Croatian Ministry of Tourism.
