Children's Play 'Telephone'

Today, 21st July at 19:30, on the promenade in front of the Art Pavilion Juraj Sporer, see the show for the kids 'Telephone', performed by actors of the project Thearto - Katarina Arbanas & Goran Guksić, directed by Zijah Sokolovic. Admission to the show, designed for children aged 9-13 years is FREE - the gift of Festival Opatija to children on the occasion of "Day of Opatija."

Mladen Veža Exhibition

The exhibition of works by famous Croatian artist Mladen Veža, organized by the Croatian Museum of Tourism, will be opened on Thursday, July 14th 2011 at the Pavilion Juraj Šporer in Opatija. The exhibition will remain open until August 22nd 2011.

Drama workshops for children

From 11.7. to 18.7., in the park "Sv. Jacob" in front of the art pavilion "Juraj Sporer," will be held drama workshops for children. Workshops will lead actors Peter Radin and Vladimir Tintor, for children aged 5-11 years. FREE ATTENDANCE:

Lungomare - 100th birthday

The exhibition Lungomare - 100th birthday, organized by the City of Opatija and the Croatian Museum of Tourism will be open in Art pavilion "Juraj Sporer" in Opatija on Wednesday, 29th of June 2011. at 19:30. You can visit the exhibition until 10th of July 2011, every day except Mondays from 9:00-13:00 and 17:00-22:00. FREE ENTRY.

Eda Mihovilić: "Collage - a cake of reality "

The exhibition by Eda Mihovilic: "Collage - a cake of reality" opens 28th of April 2011 at Art Pavilion Juraj Sporer Opatija.
Eda Mihovilić, was born in 1950. in Volosko. Elementary school and grammar school in Opatija. She studied at the Pedagogical Academy in Rijeka, Department of Fine Arts, and spent lifetime working as an arranger-decorator in Opatija. He lives and works in Poljane (Icici). Since 2005. was actively engaged in painting, art participates in many meetings and events, and has won several awards.

Illustrations by Cvijeta Job and Zdenko Balabanic

Organized by the Croatian Museum of Tourism on Thursday, 10th of March 2011. in Art pavilion "Juraj Sporer" in Opatija, starting at 19.30 pm will open an exhibition of illustrations by Cvijeta Job and Zdenko Balabanic. The exhibition will be open until 10th of April 2011.

Branka Marčeta: "Carnival"

Organized by the Croatian Museum of Tourism on Thursday, 10th of February 2011 in Art pavilion "Juraj Sporer" in Opatija, has been opened the exhibition of Opatija's artist Branka Marčeta: "Carnival". The exhibition will be open till 06 March 2011.

Exhibition Kresimir Zimonic

The exhibition by Kresimir Zimonić "Comics and Illustrations", organized by the Croatian Museum of Tourism opens on Friday, 14th January in Art pavilion "Juraj Sporer" Opatija, at 19.30.

Krešimir Zimonić was born in 1956. He started making animated films professionally in 1979. and from 1981 has a free lance artist status. In 2002 he started teaching at the Academy of fine arts in Zagreb, section for animation and multimedia. Four of his comic book collections have been published, he illustrated cca. twenty book covers, he is an author of numerous posters, catalogues, articles about comic books and animation. He is one of the founders and a president of the Croatian Comic Book Society. He is a board member of ANIMAFEST – World festival of animated films, held in Zagreb every two years.

1st Istrian Provincial Exhibition - 100 years

The 1st Istrian Provincial Exhibition, organized by the Croatian Museum of Tourism can be seen at Art pavilion "Juraj Sporer" in Opatija, from Wednesday, 22nd of December. Although no particular artistic, historical photographs have enormous documentary value, illustrating the cultural, economic and social life of Istria, the century ago.
