Organized by the Croatian Museum of Tourism Opatija, from 3rd November 2011. in Art pavilion "Juraj Sporer" you can see the exhibition by Matko Mijić "Table - while we waited."
Matko Mijić was born in Split 1955. He graduated at the School of Applied Arts in Split and 1981 at The Faculty of Applied Arts in Belgrade- the sculpture. He is a professor at the Art Academy in Split. The exhibition is open until 23 November 2011.

Organized by the Croatian Museum of Tourism in Art pavilion "Juraj Sporer" in Opatija from 13 October 2011. it is possible to view an exhibition of Croatian tourist poster.
Through artistic photographs are presented natural and cultural beauties of Croatian tourist destinations.
The exhibition can be visited until 26 October 2011.
On Friday, 7 October 2011., in the gallery Opatijski portun, Opatija will be opened an exhibition of Art Association Matulji and stays open untill 21st of October.

Austrian Ambassador to the Republic of Croatia, mr. Jan Kickert, will this Saturday at 10: 30 in the lobby of the Hotel Miramar, open the exhibition "Quarneroli", in honor of Jacob Sučić, Fran Letiš, and Vicko Palmić, brave sailors from Opatija, Lovran and Volosko.

The exhibition designed by prof. Hans W. Bousska from Vienna, is a reminder of Opatija's history and many famous people who visited Opatija. This once quiet fishing village, thanks to its favorable geographical location, benefits of stable climate, and especially the efforts of a few enthusiasts, turned in the second half of the 19th century, in a favorite destination of high society, members of European royal houses and government dignitaries, and famous intellectuals and artists.
