Day of the City of Opatija

Congratulations to the city of Opatija !

This year's celebration marks the 170 anniversary of tourism, which is always attractive lady with charm and beauty which attracts visitors since 1844.

Story of Opatija is related to the church of St. Jacob, and the church which will later become - Opatija. Sv. Jacob is the patron saint of pilgrims and travelers, druggists, tanners, farmers, fruit growers and ... Opatija. St. Jacob - July 25 is celebrated as the Day of the City of Opatija (according to the decision of Opatija on 27 March 2008).
