Gabrielle Stravelli 4-tet resulted from collaboration between musicians from the United States, Denmark and Croatia. The European tour of the Gabrielle Stravelli 4-tet will take place during July 2013, during which they will perform also in Kastav. Gabrielle Stravelli (vocals) comes from a vibrant jazz scene of New York, where he regularly performs on some of the most famous stages, Pat O'Leary (contrabass) has collaborated and performed with some of the most famous names from the world of jazz of the past few decades, such as Diana Krall, Lionel Hampton, Freddie Hubbard, Illinois Jacquet and many other important musicians. Jacob Melchior (drums) is also a part of the New York jazz scene, where he came from his native Copenhagen, while Zoran Majstorović (guitar) is known as a multi-instrumentalist active on both Croatian and Italian jazz scenes. The band´s repertoire consists of their own music and some selected jazz standards.
The Kastav Cultural Summer often hosts guests from all over Europe, but rarely from the other side of the Atlantic, therefore we look forward to the visit of Gabrielle Stravelli and his multinational quartet.

Maria Joao (born Maria Joao Monteiro Grancha) is a Portuguese jazz singer.
She is known for her vocal flexibility and improvisational skills. While normally considered a jazz artist, her music incorporates a mix of folk/ethnic music, modern jazz, avant-garde, electronica, symphonic and other genres.
Although her main musical partner is Portuguese pianist Mário Laginha, she has worked with many musicians throughout her career, including Aki Takase, Manu Katche, Trilok Gurtu, Bobby McFerrin, Wolfgang Muthspiel, Joe Zawinul, Ralph Towner, Dino Saluzzi, Kai Eckhardt, Gilberto Gil and Lenine.

After his degree at the jazz department of the Conservatory in Klagenfurt , Bruno Mičetić has formed a trio with musicians that he worked with throughout his studies. His recent trio has performed at numerous jazz festivals.
The new trio features the American pianist, composer and arranger Joe Kaplowitz and renowned Slovenian drummer - Ratko Divjak - a member of the Big Band RTV Slovenia, known to a wider audience as a member of the legendary band TIME, as well as the winner of the discographic award “Porin” for the Lifetime Achievement. The new album "Phantom's whisper" is a hommage to jazz standards that trio plays for some time, which in it’s final shaping produces an enormous creative sound mass . The album leaves an average jazz listener in a good faith in true jazz musicians, exceptional musical personalities who surrender themselves without compromise.
