Tribute to B.P. & Oridano Gipsy Jazz Band

Croatian Jazz icon Boško Petrović died this year in 76th year of life.
He founded the Zagreb Jazz Quartet, the band of international reputation and the most important formation in the Croatian jazz. Later on, he led other Croatian and international bands: Zagreb Jazz Quintet, BP Convention, B.P. Convention Big Band, B.P. Club All Stars, and Bosko Petrovic Trio. He was the owner of the B.P. Club, where since 1988. have performed the world's greatest jazz artists, and was the founder and owner of the record company Jazzette Records. He was the organizer of many jazz events. He was one of the few of our jazzists who regularly performed at events around the world, with his band or as a soloist with the world most famous orchestras and musicians.
Concert TRIBUTE TO BP, unlike other jazz events in Croatia dedicated to Bosko, will run exclusively the author's music. Musicians who perform it are all Bosko's mate's, who shared the Stage and Leisure with him (Frangeš, Mavrin, Grašič, Glojnarić, Divjak) or have grown up under his mentoriship and blessing (Stanić, Grabušić), They will play his songs in modern arrangements, some of which are written especially for this occasion, and some were also re-discovered and performed for the first time ever at this very special concert (Glojnarić, Stanić, Big Band HRT).

Oridano Gipsy Jazz BandThe band was set up in the spring 2010. Since then they have been playing Django Reinhardt's music and recently became the "house band" of the oldest bar in Zagreb, "Pod Starim Krovovima".
They preformed on the Springtime Jazz Session 2011. in Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall in Zagreb as new faces of Croatian Jazz.
