From an early age, Damir Urban developed his interest in music and painting. In 1986 the band Laufer was formed, where Urban acted as a lead singer, lyrics author and music co-author. The band produced many hith such as Moja voda, Svijet za nas, Lopov Jack and others and was praised by the audience and critics. After the spell with Laufer, Urban began his solo career and soon won a Porin for the song S dlana boga pala si, which he performed together with the band En Face, and the a Porin for the best rock vocal. The album Otrovna kiša, released in 1996, featured hits such as Astronaut, Nebo, Robot ect. Two years later Urban released the album Žena dijete, which was rated as the album of the year, while songs such as Black tatoo, Odlučio sam da te volim and Mala truba reached the top of national charts. Žena dijete is also amongst ten best albums of the decade.Urban´s next album, Retro, emerged some new hits such as Kornjača, Mjesta za mene and Gledaj i vidi, while Urban and his band were nominated for the MTV Adria awards in the category Best Act. Urban´s friendship with the renowned songwriter Gibonni yielded the song Posoljeni zrak, as well as numerous appearances on concert performances. Album Hello! also encountered a great response from the audience and critics. In 2011 Urban recorded an album with the world-renowned cellist Stjepan Hauser (2Cellos), for which the duo has won a Porin. Urban was awarded with the City of Rijeka Award in 1999. In the period 2004 – 2009 Urban was a member of the Council for New Media Cultures, at the Ministry of the Republic of Croatia.

Fantastic live concerts, on which the audience is always eagerly awaiting Urban´s new songs, are the proof of how great this charismatic musician really is and also a good announcement of excellent evening in Kastav.
