After exactly 156 years since the world premiere in the Venetian Theater La Fenice and 23 years of the last in Rijeka, "La Traviata" by G. Verdi is again on Rijeka opera scene in a completely new attire. The new "La Traviata" will conduct maestro Niksa Bareza, director is Janusz Kica. The main role of Violetta Valery and Alfred Germont are entrusted to the young soprano soloist from Opera in Graz, the guest Margareta Klobucar and soloist of Rijeka Opera Davor Lesic.

Symphonic concert of Rijeka's Philharmonic Orchestra entitled "An Evening of Russian romantics" conducted under the guidance of renowned maestro Anton Nanut will be held on Tuesday, 13 January. Concert brings the composition of two exceptional composers, representatives of the Russian romantic music. Concerto for Piano and orchestra in C minor, No.2, op.18 by Sergei V. Rachmaninoff (1873-1943) and Sixth symphony in h minor, Op. 74, Pathetique by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky (1840-1893).The soloist will be young pianist Martina Filjak, one of the most promising talents from Croatia.

Before the end of the year, in the program of CNT Ivan pl. Zajc are, of course, the popular New Year's concerts. This year - on December 27th, 28th, 29th and 30th at 8 PM. Rijeka Theater's Opera Orchestra is conducted by maestra Nada Matošević while the solo part will be played by one of the most prominent Croatian pianist of the younger generation - Goran Filipec from Rijeka.
