After three years of serious work, long-awaited book, "Rijeka rock anthem" by Zoran Žmirić finally came out in print.
"Rijeka rock anthems" book is about the creation of the best rock songs of Rijeka from 1979. to 2009. year. Through hundreds of interviews, the author of the book reconstructs the development of 60 songs produced over 30 years of cult activity of Rijeka's musical scene at the same time bringing the biographies of its most creative artists and stories about the origin of the name of Rijeka bands.
From the 20th November 2011. to 15 January 2012 at the Pier Carolina Riječka is open skating rink. For citizens are open periods from Monday to Friday from 16.00 to 22.00 h, and on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from 10.00 to 22.00 h. As in previous years, the skates will be rented at a price of 10.00 HRK a one-hour use of the rink will cost 20.00 HRK. All-day ticket is 50.00 kuna, weekly 150, kn, weekend 80, 00 HRK, monthly 500.00 HRK, and there will be possibility of school skating for adults, in the period from 21.00 to 22.00 h, at a price of 60,00 kunas.

Free energy is the name of a large charity event held to commemorate the Damir Badurina Bad, tragically deceased singer of the group Unlogic Skill, by some of the most important songs of Rijeka's youth at the turn of the century, radio host and, finally, creator and owner of Club Viva Kantrida and nightclub Tesla.

The title of the exhibition invokes a foreign US English idiom, that stems from baseball and means suddenly; from an unexpected source or direction. In the same manner, the curatorial concept for this Biennial seeks to evoke this element of surprise but also to allude to political and ideological spheres. Artists represented are guided to mimic the strategy of non-alignment, where, starting from strongest individuality, a possibility of coexistence is established. Artists co-present works in all media in powerful dialogue with performance art.
