WATER DANCE / BATHING BEAUTY

The ensemble of Croatian folk dances and songs LADO is a national professional folk ensemble founded in 1949, aiming to study and gather artistic interpretations and stage performances of the best examples of rich Croatian music and dance tradition. Excellent dancers, 37 in total, who are also excellent singers, easily transform from a dance ensemble into a representative folk choir, while 15 fantastic musicians play about fifty traditional and classic instruments. The ensemble LADO owns a unique collection of original folk costumes of extraordinary value and beauty (more than 1200 outfits), some of which are more than a hundred years old, and therefore it is rightfully called “the traveling museum”.

Shakespeare's lyric tragedy about the purity and power of youthful love in conflict with social and political passions is one of the everlasting, catarsic issues, to which the authors and audience keep coming back with respect.
Performance with a break takes about an hour and 45 minutes.

International Puppet Theater Revue brings to Rijeka renowned puppet theaters from Croatia, Europe and all over the world, each year in early November. The performances present different puppet theater traditions and techniques. The program of the Festival is intended for children and adults alike. This year's 14th Revue of Puppet Theaters in Rijeka will take place from 4. – 11. November and will host 3 foreign and 8 Croatian puppet theaters.

Stripped is a full-fledged production by renowed choreographer Snjezana Abramovic. It is a dance performance with 8 dancers of Zagreb Dance Company and the guest dancers.
