The world`s biggest ballet stars are coming to the Open Air Theatre this summer! Opatija is going to welcome soloists, champions and prima ballerinas from Mikhailovsky Theatre and Mariinsky Theatre from St. Petersburg, Berlin State Opera, Bolshoi Theatre from Moscow, National Ballet London and National Ballet Amsterdam, united in the famous performances of duets, adaggios and pas de deux from ballet masterpieces. Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Aleksandar Anisimov will perform Tchaikovsky, Khachaturian, Rimsky-Korsakov, Bach and many other great composers of classical music. The audience is about to experience a unique gala evening in Opatija.

play JaTiOnoMi is realized with the help of the Ministry of Social Policy and Youth, in cooperation with the theatre ActLab from Zagreb. The play deals with the theme of child’s adoption, while exploring all aspects of the process of adoption through appropriate theatrical language and a story adapted for children and younger age. On the 7th Festival of Croatian Drama for Children Mali Marulić, which was held in Split in April 2014, the play received a special jury prize for its socially engaged content, as well as the award for best performance by a cast and the award for best theatrical text.
Mala Scena is one of the leading Croatian theatres for children and young people, based on number of performances as well as the number of awards which their plays have won domestically and abroad. The founders of the theatre are Vitomira Lončar and Ivica Šimić. Since 2005 the theatre focuses exclusively on the production of plays for children and teenagers (2-16 years old).
