Bejahad 2010.
Grand Hotel Adriatic, Opatija
The Bejahad Jewish cultural scene for the last five years takes place in Opatija. This 7-day event represents a cross-section of contemporary Jewish culture in Croatia and other countries. The event will include various lectures, poetry readings, exhibitions,
concerts, films and meetings from 24th to 30th of August in Opatija.
Opatija is a town of emotions, love and experiences, and also a town with broad cosmopolitan horizons. Thus it not unusual that Opatija has been home to the Bejahad for years, presenting the Jewish cultural scene and the events that, through the week, present Jewish culture and its achievements. The central events of particular interest to the public will certainly be the David Bazarov concert on Wednesday, August 24th, and the Evening of Eveline Meghnagi and Friends on Thursday, August 26th, who will present themselves with the interesting concert ˝Sephardic Melodies˝. A special attraction awaits us on Sunday, August 29th – the Idan Raichel Project. This group appeared on the Israeli music scene in 2002 and changed Israeli pop music forever. The music of the group proffers messages of love and tolerance, sentiments that bear particular weight considering the environment they were created in.
