Đena Đonglić - ''Fragments''

In the gallery of the Church of the Holy Trinity in Kastav, organized by the associations ''Kastav Summer Festival'' in June 6th will open the exhibition ''Fragments'', by young and promising artist Đena Đonlagić.

The relief paintings of Đena Đonlagić are purified and disciplined paintings in structure, with the relief layers on the surface rising up from two-dimensionality towards three-dimensionality, thereby pulling away from the wall and conquering the surrounding space. They were created in the spirit of geometric abstraction, neoplasticism and, more recently, minimalism, as characterised by the clear structure and precise rendition, the harmony of form and colour and the deliberate spatial organisation in which several plains are evident, and it could be said that these are less paintings than they are spatial-plastic wall objects.

The exhibition will be open until June 16th, every day 10-12 and from 18:00 to 21:00.
