Start of Carnival in Matulji

Traditionally - for centuries in Liburnija masks take over on the feast of St. Anton, January the 17th and the Carnival folly begins. Dancing and singing, "kampanat&obahajat" until Ash Wednesday. The sound of Antonja's horn, hand over the town's key and hoisting of carnival flag mark the start of Carnival!

16: 00 - Raising of Pust (carnival dummy) and the carnival flag on well Kancelir, and the handover of the keys to Brežanski bell-ringers. "Gemajzeri", with singer Tina Čutura will perform a new carnival song. The party will continue with music of "Salpe" and "Kekec" at cafe DM. The program leads Nina Dukic. Patron: Municipality Matulji
