Born and raised in Vinkovci (CRO), he spent his teenage years expressing his passion for all sorts of underground subculture movements, from being a hip-hop skateboarding freak to admiring obscure Japanese folk music.

Moving to Rijeka at the beginning of the new millennium resulted in a somewhat changed perception of what it means to have fun - discovering the world of electronic music and experiencing that glorious madness of clubbing and partying - all together appeared to be a way forward. Few years passed and he started to hang out with a bunch of local DJ-heroes, so through their influence he got to know and eventually fall in love with the profound, mystical groove of then emerging minimal-tech sound.

As time went by, night by night, the insomniac sessions of dancing and actively consuming music became the reality.

Then one day it happened that he turned his computer on, spontaneously as always, logged on to an internet DJ shop and bought 32 vinyl records (!!!) in one go, including artists like Butane, Gaiser, Barem, Henning , Seph… and that was pretty much it - he was in love...

Tom Yüng was also involved in various music production projects alongside his friend and mentor from Highland Brothers Inc., Maxxxter. Many nights and days were spent in front of the screen, many plugins tweaked, many “delete” keys pressed. Once the ears were tuned and quality achieved, they started their very own digital label named Look Ahead records, featuring their specific sound and striking image.

Look Ahead Records is a sublabel of Body Jack Schallplatten, Rijeka's first independent digital label ever.
